Special Billing Methods
Synology Surveillance Station has different billing methods for particular cameras, such as panoramic, multi-lens cameras and video server for analog cameras. For more details about supported cameras, please refer to Camera Support List.
Camera Type | Billing Method | Example | License required |
---|---|---|---|
Panoramic | Per camera | Axis M3007 | 1 |
Multi-lens | Per camera | Arecont Vision AV8185 | 1 |
Video server | Per channel | Axis M7014 | 4 |
In the table above, you can see a detailed example of our billing methods for three different camera types. Synology charges panoramic and multi-lens cameras by license per camera. For panoramic cameras which support native dewarping, it may provide more than one stream at a time. For example, Axis M3007 is capable of providing the Quad View, Double Panorama, and Original view at the same time. This also applies to multi-lens cameras because they have multiple lenses for different fields of view in one camera. Both types require one license only.
However, video servers like Axis M7014 can connect to up to 4 analog cameras. In this case, Synology will charge you for 4 licenses accordingly. This rule will also apply to video servers supported in Surveillance Station.
How to install
